Campuses in our country have both differences and similarities to the world outside them; however, an area where they share an astounding parallel is in the realm of violence. There have been more than a few recent events which have shown our college institutions are not segregated from violent outbreaks; I believe the right to defend oneself should not be taken away just because one is on a campus. If we have the right to carry a firearm for self-defense outside a school environment then why not inside it?
